Terms of Use
Effective date: 17 October 2026
Changes: I Ching Atlas is an educational app for studying the I Ching, a classic of Chinese thought. Readings are for study and reflection, not prediction. These terms cover your use of the app. On iPhone and iPad, Apple's standard licence agreement also applies.
Using the app
You may use the app for your own personal, non-commercial study. The app's design, plain-English readings, lessons and code belong to the developer. The classical Chinese text and James Legge's 1882 translation are in the public domain.
Not advice
Nothing in the app is medical, legal, financial or other professional advice, and the app does not tell the future. Decisions you make are your own.
Premium, subscriptions and lifetime
- Premium is offered as a monthly subscription, an annual subscription (new subscribers may get a 7-day free trial), or a one-time lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy.
- Purchases are made through Google Play (Android) or the App Store (iPhone and iPad), and are charged to that account at confirmation of purchase, or when the free trial ends.
- Subscriptions renew automatically at the same price for the same period unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage or cancel at any time in your Google Play or Apple account settings; cancelling stops future renewals, and Premium stays active until the end of the period you paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Google or Apple under their policies.
- A lifetime purchase unlocks Premium for as long as the app is offered, on your devices signed in to the same store account. The app may be discontinued in the future.
Your data
Your journal, progress and settings stay on your device. See the Privacy Policy.
No warranty
The app is provided "as is". We work to keep the texts and calculations accurate, but we can't promise the app will be error-free or always available. To the extent the law allows, the developer is not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under applicable consumer law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. This does not take away any mandatory consumer protection you have under the law of the country where you live.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, the new version will be posted here with a new effective date.
