Privacy Policy

The short version: Changes does not collect any personal data. It works fully offline and has no account, no analytics and no ads. Your journal, progress and settings stay on your device.

This Privacy Policy explains how the Changes: I Ching Atlas app for iPhone, iPad and Android ("the app", "we", "us"), published by CJ Toolseram, handles information.

Information we collect

None. The app does not collect, transmit, store on our servers or share any personal information. Specifically:

No account or sign-in is required.
No analytics, crash reporting, tracking, advertising or other third-party data-collection tools are used.
The app makes no network requests for its content. The texts, lessons and calendar data are bundled in the app and work entirely offline.

If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply, and delete them when no longer needed.

Data stored on your device

The following stays only on your device. We never receive it and have no access to it:

Your journal: the casts you save, with any question and notes you write.
Your learning progress: which lessons you have read and which practice questions you have answered.
Your settings: for example text and display preferences.

If you back up your device, this data may be included in your own private backup (iCloud or Google), under Apple's or Google's terms. When you export your journal, the file goes wherever you choose to send or save it. Deleting the app removes this data from the device.

Purchases and subscriptions

Premium is optional. It is sold as a monthly or annual subscription (the annual plan may start with a free trial) or as a one-time lifetime purchase, through Apple's In-App Purchase on iPhone and iPad and through Google Play Billing on Android. Payments, free trials, renewals, cancellations and refunds are handled entirely by Apple or Google; we do not receive your payment details or identity, and the app itself collects no data about your purchases. The app connects to the internet only to buy or restore Premium through Apple or Google. The app only asks the store whether Premium is active on your device. You manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account or Google Play settings. Apple and Google may provide us with anonymous, aggregate sales information. Their handling of your information is governed by Apple's Privacy Policy and Google's Privacy Policy.

Children

The app is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect any data from anyone.

Data sharing and selling

We do not sell, rent or share any personal data, because we do not collect any.

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. Everything the app stores lives on your device, where you can export it or delete it at any time.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and post the revised version on this page. If the app ever starts collecting any data, this policy and the store privacy labels will be updated before that version is released.
